Wisconsin Medicaid
BlueCross BlueShield
Allegiance Benefit Plan Management
Evernorth Health Services
Cigna Healthcare
Dean Health Plan
Prevea360 Health Plan
We are working to accept more insurances in order to serve more families.
Insurance policies can vary greatly. Because of the complexity of contracts and potential coverage changes, we are only able to provide benefit estimates in good faith. After receiving a copy of the primary medical insurance ID card and HIPAA release form, we will contact in-network plans to confirm eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary pre-authorizations for services, and file all claims for payment. Because coverage cannot be guaranteed, it is highly recommended that parents verify that services are covered at the time they begin.
Getting Started with Services

The first step in this process is to get to know you and your child! During the initial contact, we will ask you questions to collect all the necessary information to provide your child with the best possible care possible. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This is the start of a strong therapeutic relationship.

If you decide to move forward with Bright Connections Behavioral after the initial contact, a member of our clinical operations team will send you the intake paperwork and will help collect all of the necessary documents needed to receive prior authorization. They will also collect information and documents that will provide our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with the needed information to effectively complete the assessment.

Once we have all of the necessary documents, our billing and insurance team will work on getting insurance authorization for the assessment.
While we are working on the authorization, you will be contacted to schedule a meet and greet. During the meet and greet, you and your child will have the opportunity to come and explore the clinic, meet members of our team, and ask any additional questions that you may have.

Once we have the insurance authorization for the assessment, our clinical operations team will send you any assessments that can be completed online. The number of online assessments that will need to be completed will be dependent on 1) child's needs and 2) insurance requirements. They will also contact you to schedule the in-person assessment.

The in-person assessment is conducted by a BCBA at our clinic in Tomah, Wisconsin. These assessments are typically play based and measure your child's strengths and areas of need in various areas. Depending on various factors, such as your child's age, skills, and areas of needs, a second in-person assessment may need to be conducted to ensure the development of an effective treatment plan.
The comprehensive assessment is essential to developing a treatment plan that is tailored to your child's individual skills and areas of need. Following the play-based portion of the assessment, the BCBA will talk to you about the results of their assessment and will answer any questions that you may have. At Bright Connections Behavioral, we believe in strong communication and collaboration. Therefore, our team will ensure that you are informed throughout the whole process. They will also make sure any questions you may have are answered and any concerns you may have are addressed.

Following the in-person assessment(s), the BCBA will complete the treatment plan. The treatment plan will contain information about your child, their needs, the assessments, and specific goals that will be targeted during your child's ABA sessions. Once completed, we will send the treatment plan to you for review. We will continue to communicate until you are 100% satisfied with the treatment plan. Once you are satisfied, we will ask you to sign the treatment plan via our treatment portal. Once signed, we will submit the treatment plan and any other needed documentation to the insurance for approval of ABA therapy services.

As soon as we receive approval from insurance, our clinical operations team will contact you to schedule services, which typically include direct therapy (1:1 therapy with a Registered Behavior Technician under the supervision and direction of a BCBA, program modification with a BCBA, and caregiver guidance sessions with a BCBA).

The clinical operations team will also walk you through what to bring with your child and what to expect so that you are all ready to go on the first day!
